The Week of Young Loss

(Lost Young)

For Jenn and Shornden

Can you hear that?
It’s the moon
calling you home

Usually the needle
works its way across
the record staying
in the groove

But at times it skips
backwards to repeat
and occasionally works
its own scratch
screamingly into the air

Yes I hear it!
The moon
The moon
