Writing

Moments press against uncounted moments
Swiftly they pass
Into an unrecoverable abyss
I ponder in silence
Absorbed by a world of unwritten words
Verbs, nouns, adjectives
Stem cells of creative thought
Waiting in the dark among the moments
I feel my inadequacy
I should go back to work
And write a few more words
Because I know
Only a few moments exist
Between the words
And the abyss.
