About Emerge

eMerge Online Literary Magazine seeks avant-garde poetry and short fiction that pushes boundaries. eMerge values works that prompt readers to perceive aspects of humanity in novel and enlightening ways, encouraging a fresh perspective on life. We believe, like Alice Walker, “Whatever has happened to humanity, whatever is currently happening to humanity, it is happening to all of us.” No specific themes or styles are mandated; we prioritize the significance of your message. Embrace the freedom to explore innovative and cutting-edge expressions of literature with us.

We are often asked, "What are you looking for?" Here are a few tips from our editors: Do not be boring! Please capture our attention. We adore diversity in writing, whether you are just beginning your writing experience or you are a well-established writer. We will consider previously published work if it fits with our mission. So please provoke us, generate some emotion, and make us think about humanity in a new way with fresh insights or doubts about the human experience.

eMerge is a 501 (c)(3) organization and donations are gratefully welcome here.
