on a clear starry night
indigo skies
give way to
a gentle dawn
held in a whisper blue
I sit with a silken sunrise
trying out my new solstice dawn
light embers
spread overhead
creating our lake's sky dome
ever changing
cerulean blue
and raspberry plum
a true mixed palate
flowing
I am a retired teacher and live in the beautiful Ozarks on Lake Ann in Bella Vista, Arkansas. I think of myself as a beginning author, writer, and poet exploring the worlds of poetry, nature, and photography.
